Float away to psychedelic-jazz heaven with Adam Znaidi’s atmospheric track “Holy Moon”.

Adam Znaidi loves a big, complex sound. Known for his work with The Physics House Band, this Moroccan-British multi-instrumentalist takes his inspiration from a varied host of musical legends, from the manic-guitar sound of Frank Zappa to the passion of Leonard Bernstein. This eclecticism and penchants for lush, textured arrangement is at the forefront of “Holy Moon”, the first single of his upcoming debut EP ‘Pageant Smile’ that and will leave you intoxicated with its earth-shattering power.

“Holy Moon” is the perfect soundtrack for an alien abduction. From the very first drum roll we begin to ascend; towards what – doesn’t matter. Spacy City pop synths blend with a groovy bass guitar, carried forth on a dizzying drum and bass tempo. Following a free jazz sensibility, the cacophony of chords slowly merges together, eventually blending into a single smoothie of psychedelic perfection that ends just as abruptly as it began. Adam’s distorted vocals float above it all – in equal parts disembodied and palpably syrupy like some forbidden fruit.

A track that invites your complete surrender, “Holy Moon” will take you to new sonic and mental planes – and you probably won’t want to come back down.
