Alizee Channels R&B Influences Through Her Dreamy Tune ‘The Boy’

“This calming track is only a taste of Alizee’s upcoming “neo-soul/jazz EP” called ‘Girls & Rhythm”.

Alizee’s song ‘The Boy’ challenges the self-deprecating worries that can plague a person in a relationship and leave them asking, as described by herself, “Why am I letting my doubts and fears ruin a moment I’ll probably remember forever”. It is about leaning into a relationship and not being in your head, which is bound to resonate with not only Alizee herself but also many potential listeners.

The track itself, produced by DSC lefty, has certain features that are very typical of lofi and R&B, with sensual vocals over a smooth and dreamy beat. The song could fall into the category of floaty soul or soft hip hop and is reminiscent of artists like JGrrey. This calming track is only a taste of Alizee’s upcoming “neo-soul/jazz EP” called ‘Girls & Rhythm”, which she is developing with the help of producers from both the States and Europe.
