Shouting into the hazy darkness, Babe Club’s new single ‘Together’ is a cinematic reminiscence of a relationship far from over. Meeting somewhere on the road between Blondie and Tame Impala, it is a track scattered with hallucinating synths, effervescent guitar and the lead singer, Jenna Desmond’s poetic prose which pushes the protagonists towards each other in hope of rejuvenating the riotous spark of young love. A sweet sentiment of retrospect, this track is one made even more poignant by the current COVID dislocation from our own loved ones. Only the first of five singles to be released from their debut EP, ‘Together’ has recently found another manifestation through a Tōth remix which laces the track with a speedy and completely different base-driven energy. While both enchanting in their own way, there's a charm in the simplicity of 'Together's original form.
