BETTER PERSON’S NEWEST SINGLE ‘SOMETHING TO LOSE’ IS A PEARL OF INDIE-POP GOODNESS

Better Person’s newest single ‘Something To Lose’ is a pearl of indie-pop goodness just waiting to be discovered. The passion project of one Polish, Berlin-based Adam Byczkowski, this latest release is a proclamation of love, and the fear which often comes attached to such a devotional act.
Hailed as the first happy song ever written under Better Person, the track still upholds elements of Byczkowski’s melancholic tradition within its eighties infused soundscape. Like midnight in a movie, the track is picture-perfect with its synth, acoustic guitar and keyboard galaxies, and smooth vocals which lightly float up into clouds of falsetto. Ushering the act to a close with heavenly notes of brass, it‘s almost impossible not to wonder whether the past 3-minutes were real or an atmospheric dream.
A long way from the late-night devastation of his first EP It’s Only You, this track lays claim that Better Person’s debut album (also named Something To Lose to be released on 23rd October) is ready to devastate listeners in a whole new fashion.
