Campfire Social’s whimsical “Everything Changed” is a battle-cry for better times.

A quirky indie-pop collective, Campfire Social make danceable and upbeat music with slightly melancholy overtones – the kind that would make your inner emo kid crack a reluctant smile. Now the band are ready to release their second EP Everything Changed, and this time, it will be pressed into a beautiful blue 12” vinyl. With their songs just as colourful, the EP promises to be a journey through the band’s hearts and minds, filled with an optimistic perspective on even the most difficult of subjects.

Starting off with unmistakably indie-pop guitar riff, the title track of the EP, “Everything Changed”, progresses in a feel-good direction, complete with punchy, heartbeat-like drums and an undercurrent of blink-and-you-miss-them synths. As it gradually escalates, this manifesto of hope abandons vocals in favour of a joyful wall of sound that will have your foot bopping in no time. The track is also accompanied by a quirky music video, with playful DIY aesthetics reminiscent of Michel Gondry films.

Indeed, a track like “Everything Changed” wouldn’t be out of place in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, cinematic as it is with its boundless energy and dynamism.
