The latest release from Daragh is called ‘Ordinary, Loud, and Cheery’, yes, it is loud and cheery, but ordinary he is certainly not. Formerly the guitarist and songwriter of Company Ink, a band that made huge waves within the Norwegian music scene in 2018, Daragh has now taken on the role of the lead singer by going solo. ‘Ordinary, Loud, and Cheery’ is a song about a person who realises they are different from others and how that can make a person feel. However, if you may be feeling that way, Daragh’s new release is the perfect accomplice to aid you through the tough times.
‘Ordinary, Loud, and Cheery’ is Daragh’s sixth single, and is a track that combines bright, and mesmerising guitars, combined with a heavy alternative-rock beat and dreamy synth sounds. It is the perfect example of the ongoing struggles in someone’s head that is facing such conflicting views on life. Daragh is a storyteller, and going solo may be the best thing he’s ever done.
