There are some songs you just have to hear, and David Baron & Kevin Kadish’s single ‘Deserve’ is certainly one of them. Baron and Kadish are both extremely well-respected members of the music world, with Kadish having worked alongside the likes of Miley Cyrus and Jason Mraz, whilst Baron has collaborated with artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Shania Twain, and Four Tet. It was only a matter of time before the musical spotlight shone in their favour. Kadish explained of the song: “This was my chance to do this myself, turning the tables on myself.”
David and Kevin had been friends for years, and so the art of revealing your personality during the process of production was completed with no qualms. The concept of ‘Deserve’ revolves around putting too much effort into a relationship and getting nothing in return. Dave’s piano octaves set the scene, while simultaneously, you feel the pain conveyed through the vocals. It is so, so good that these guys are finally getting their own chance.
