A release two years in the making, Disco Lizards’ debut album is finally here. Named after their previous riotous single 'Ride Ride Ride', it’s a joyride of psychedelic energy.
Hackney born, the four-piece have cut their teeth in London’s live scene. Now, taming their wild energy in only so much that the sweat has been removed from tracks, the LP scuttles between their typical high energy and a newfound tenderness with barely a moments notice. While the tone changes, their distinctive soundscape remains. Setting them apart from their indie contemporaries through the guitar riffs which show glimmers of the Black Keys and headstrong vocals which entrance all who listen.
While lockdown hasn’t been the opportune time for release, Disco Lizards are already recording for their follow up album and are holding out for their rowdy release party pencilled in for 29th January.
