Teeming with teenage bedroom nostalgia, Benjamin Lyth and Matthieu Thienpont (aka DUDE, MY DUDE) have created an entirely unique and somewhat comforting sound for indie fans far and wide. Opening with sun-infused surf rock vibes, the track erupts into an alt-rock anthem of post-adolescence and reminiscence. Written and recorded during various episodes of lockdown, the demo of the track was recorded on an iPhone and in its final manifestation, ‘Loser’ retains so much of the rawness that this method created, matching perfectly with the song’s sardonic storytelling.
