“I wanna be like a supernova” are the opening words to Fake Dad’s new single ‘Listen’, and through their new track they are well on their way to getting there. Fake Dad consists of Andrea de Varona and Josh Ford, who make music together in their tiny little Brooklyn studio/apartment. Getting together at the start of 2018, the two have been inseparable ever since with their shared love of music at the forefront of their relationship, long before they even started writing together. Although the two come from radically different musical backgrounds, they share one common goal: to create something that understands you.
The two have a signature production sound and remarkably distinct vocal style and through this are able to create a constant and engaging framework for their unique perspectives, whilst also attaining a loyal fanbase. Fans of Alabama Shakes, SZA, and Vampire Weekend will absolutely love these guys.
