Fube showcases eclectic artistry with bohemian pop offering ‘Lemon Tea’
Uplifting and eccentric, ‘Lemon Tea’ is a euphoric benchmark for what alternative pop should be. Canadian artist Fube takes inspiration from an wide-ranging range of sources, combining them in interesting ways to create a satirical alternative to the everyday. “Lemon tea, Anomaly, Be my best friends, Coffee beans” he sings, in part homage to the form of spoken word. What the lyrics mean is up to the listener; instead, Fube creates the environment within which individual interpretation can flourish. Striking and optimistic, ‘Lemon Tea’ celebrates creative individuality through light synth and metallic instrumental. Cheery and playful, I bet ‘Lemon Tea’ will be the drink of Summer.
