Shake off your “Anhedonia” with Indigo FM’s rousing new track.
The alt-rock wiz-kids Indigo FM are sleek, unconventional and effortlessly cool. Taking inspiration from the 00’s and early 10’s indie scene, the band are the answering call to such legendary acts as the Strokes, Muses and the Killers. All four are seasoned musicians with a wide scope of experience in the music industry and as such, they are determined to constantly evolve their sound. During the lull of the pandemic, the band began to explore a more introspective direction, resulting in their newest track “Anhedonia”.
Meaning the inability to feel pleasure in normally pleasurable activities, “Anhedonia” is about finding new meanings in our seemingly meaningless pandemic-stalled existence. With its groovy guitars, sleek 90’s sounding beats and bewitching vocals, it is a tightly produced track that is rich and varied without sounding busy. As The Police-like guitar strums through the chorus, Esteban Obando’s great vocal range fluctuates between cool obstinance and a seductive softness that is enormously enticing.
