“Like floating on a cloud of memories pierced by rays of realisation and wonderment, “Days of Youth” is a dazzling circumnavigation of growing-up.”

Sink back into “Days of Youth” with John Jin Han’s wistful new album.

John Jin Han writes about simple, everyday things with grace and sensitivity, balancing introspection with resonant storytelling. A member of the Isla Vista Worship collective, John’s music is rooted in his Christian sensibility and serves as an expression of his inner-self. His latest album – “Days of Youth” – captures the wistful spirit of days gone by, shedding light on the hopes, fears and euphoria of youth.

As the cinematic “INTRO” swells into the burst of energetic guitars of “Now That I Know You”, we are instantly thrust into the dreamy world of John Jin Han’s radiant musicianship. Guided by John’s soft, soulful vocals, we take a sonic walk through exploration of young adulthood, love, memories and the unknown future, all while being swaddled in the comforting embrace of his balmy sound. A vein of nostalgia runs through the album, exemplified by refreshed cover of Peter Bjorn and John’s “Young Folks” that is sure to tug on your heartstrings. With introspective bedroom-pop tracks such as “YOUTH” and “Imposter (Wake UP)” sitting alongside anthemic belters like “Far Away” and “Find My Own Way”, the album delivers a singularly comprehensive and satisfying experience, as if flicking through a family photo album.

Like floating on a cloud of memories pierced by rays of realisation and wonderment, “Days of Youth” is a dazzling circumnavigation of growing-up.
