Known for her affinity to the melancholic, Katie Kittermaster is back with another, sadly, far too relatable ballad.
Reflecting on the minefield which is dating through the scars of past relationships, ‘The Problem’ imbues the confusion that comes from not knowing whether the trouble lies in your trama or you yourself. Not asking for help, this track is a cry into a neverending pit of synths, guitar and vibing bass which are far from desperate. Forged with a kick of energy, the tune can almost deceive you into believing that it is happy. Only removing the distractions within an exposed bridge which allows you to peer straight into Kittermaster’s heart.
Introspective and sincere, this is yet another sign that Katie Kittermaster's discography of melancholy and relationship reflection is one to keep an eye on.
