KHAKI FEVER

“Bold, brassy and big, “I Got This Feeling” is a dancefloor manifesto that will make even the weariest of us get up and shake off our gloom”

Whimsical and eclectic, Khaki Fever are a London-based duo unafraid to explore everything from synths to orchestral instrumentation. Having come together in the middle of the pandemic, Sam and Gio are not holding back; their sound is a big danceable grove that continues to surprise as it unfolds. Insatiable energy is their defining feature; in fact, in addition to their music, the duo also hosts a chat show, “Radio Fever”, where they discuss all things music.

“I Got This Feeling” is true to Khaki Fever’s ethos – an embrace of a track that is simultaneously reassuring and powerfully uplifting. There is warmness and triumph in the brass that elevates the lyrically simple chorus, creating unexpected layers that seem to wash over the room in waves of sonorous elation. The duo are fans of Florence and the Machine, and one can certainly hear the influences of her “Delilah” in the opening chords and a similar vocal fearlessness in Sam’s gritty, yet melodic voice.

Bold, brassy and big, “I Got This Feeling” is a dancefloor manifesto that will make even the weariest of us get up and shake off our gloom
