Kin Crew release their deeply personal single “I Need Help”, championing mental health and self-belief.

“Kin Crew are not afraid to experiment musically or to be vulnerable in their lyrics; after all, it is their firm belief that vulnerability can be a superpower, if only we let it. ”

The Canadian duo Kin Crew are fast on the rise, with 10 million online streams and appearances on Canadian Spotify charts. Now, their upcoming EP and eponymous single “I Need Help”, signal their movement toward more creative autonomy, with the duo contributing their own vocals and asserting their commitment to mental health education.

“I Need Help” brings us back to the moment when the lead singer fell head-over-heels in love with his now girlfriend of 8 years at their high school prom. The magic of this meeting is offset by a fear of moving too fast and losing control over his mind but evolves into a decision to surrender to the feeling. The track intermixes Pop-Punk vocals of the mid 00’ with a contemporary Trap sound, making it feel both nostalgic and immediately present; but most vitally, capturing the energy and visceral feeling behind the music.

Kin Crew are not afraid to experiment musically or to be vulnerable in their lyrics; after all, it is their firm belief that vulnerability can be a superpower, if only we let it.
