King Charles returns to the live stage with his jubilant EP ‘All I Know’.

Beloved both in his native UK and across the pond, King Charles has garnered acclaim for this multifaceted sound and self-reflective lyrical style, becoming the first British artist to win Nashville’s Songwriting competition. Since then, King Charles has gone on to tour with some of the most acclaimed names in the music industry, such as The Rolling Stones and Mumford & Sons, as well as headlining shows of his own at prestigious venues like 02 Shepherd’s Bush, Koko and Scala.

Having approached the writing of the ‘All I Know’ EP with a firm focus on live performance, King Charles achieved his wish of capturing a singular sense of joy and movement that comes from the collective listening experience. From his signature infectious guitar riffs, to the addition of bluesy organ notes, each track contributes to the overall themes of resilience and the enjoyment of the moment. Warming up with the buoyant, gospel infused ‘12345’ and ‘Oh Mama’, the EP proceeds to explore a more reflective and sombre concerns of ‘All I Know Is How I Feel’ and ‘How I Long’, which speak of dissatisfaction with the present and a longing for an ideal. Yet Prince Charles grounds us back in the here and now, imploring with both music and words that “While you are dreaming of another life/ This one will pass you by”. With such warm instrumentation and infectious rhythm, it isn’t too difficult to abide by his words and to sink into the joy of his charismatic sound.

Reminiscent of the exuberant energy of David Bowie’s Young Americans, King Charles’ ‘All I Know’ captures the mood of celebration and the bliss of the present moment.
