The track opens with an explosion of the familiar-sounding arrangement of percussion, guitars and piano reminiscent of nineties and noughties legends like Alanis Morissette and Keane, before retreating to Danae’s organic and authentic vocal, accompanied by just a piano. The track ebbs and flows between this more vulnerable and gentle arrangement and the more dynamic and eruptive choruses which have a distinctly live feel to them and really hone in on a comforting sonic nostalgia.
