Lull Usually Means The Sense of Calm and Typically Soothing. Not In This Case.
“Back with their new single ‘The Great Strain’, fans of Citizen, Title Fight, Basement, Movements will go absolutely crazy for these Geordie rising stars.”
The term ‘Lull’ usually implies the sense of calm, typically with soothing sounds or movements. But in this instance, it is totally different. Lull are a band from the North East of the UK, from Newcastle upon Tyne who are starting to build a reputation for their hardcore rock sound. The persona of Lull was created by the vocalist and composer Grant Andrews. Back with their new single ‘The Great Strain’, fans of Citizen, Title Fight, Basement, Movements will go absolutely crazy for these Geordie rising stars.
‘The Great Strain’ features a constant rumbling bassline that carries the track with brief guitar interventions, until the whole song climaxes and into their unique hardcore rock sound, to then settle again. Lull aim to release their debut demo ‘Thoughts of Thoughts’ that will feature two single ‘Someone Press Rewind’ & ‘The Great Strain’ in May 2021. That is definitely something to look forward to.
