“Bold, potent and evocative- ‘Kung-Fu’ is a musical middle finger of sorts to anyone who dares to undermine the hard-fought skills of creatives.”

Bristolians Make Friends, make a sonic statement and celebrate the hard-earned talent of creative industries in latest single ‘Kung-Fu’.

The track is an undiluted indie banger, directly responding to the threat posed to music and the arts this year, by the now rather tiresome COVID-19 pandemic. As a band coming up through the ranks, ‘Kung-Fu’ couldn’t be more fitting, as it challenges the absurdity of being told to retrain, after years of honing in their musical craft. The seamless arrangement of their collection of instruments and vocals on the track, only proves this point further and signifies the collective endurance of the music industry as a whole. With flickering guitars and suspenseful vocals in its verses, the song erupts into something of a battle cry, proving that Make Friends can categorically be entrusted to deliver a full-sized and empowering dance tune.

Bold, potent and evocative- ‘Kung-Fu’ is a musical middle finger of sorts to anyone who dares to undermine the hard-fought skills of creatives.
