Mosiah Levi returns with melancholy track ‘Rest’, an apathetic look at the risks of finding love
The ultimate in rainy-day soundtracks, Mosiah Levi once again soothes our souls with woozy track ‘Rest’. It’s about his apathy for love, “both wanting it but also not wanting to go through any more pain”. He’s joined by the equally talented BaggE, a self-proclaimed Neo Songstress from North London. Together, their intimate vocals trickle effortlessly through one another, sumptuously texturing the softly sliding acoustic guitar strings in the background. Vocal harmonies are used sparingly, highlighting small pockets of warmth within the otherwise melancholic landscape.
Kind to the ears and nourishing for the soul, ‘Rest’ provides a well-needed sanctuary from the stresses of everyday life.
