Hanna Ponth – aka Ohlayindigo – is a multifaceted artist with an unmistakable voice and a magical electronic sound. Having moved back to her native Norway from a stint in Los Angeles, Ohlayindigo has rediscovered her love of music, which resulted in a brand new EP ‘Exhale’. Recorded in an artist retreat in Sun valley, Idaho and produced by a female producer Dot, it will feature Ohlayindigo’s signature dreamy electronics alongside messages of hope and endurance.
‘Silent Treatment’ is full of contrasts and contradictions, tethering on the edge of darkness yet eventually retreating towards the light. Opening with a gentle ASMR-like soundscape, it slides into dusk on a bead of strong beats and lush, dreamy vocals reminiscent of Kate Bush. Evoking the moment of peace before a bombshell confession, ‘Silent Treatment’ is a manifestation of all the feeling we keep bottled up inside. Ohlayindigo is unafraid to let them all rush out – opening the floodgates to cascades of emotion with the power of her entrancing voice.
