Parlour Suns continue to ignite with their newest track “Figure It Out”.
Parlour Suns keep gaining ground with their vibrant sound and palpable energy. Hot on the heels of their much-praised debut track “Embers” comes an equally fiery follow up “Figure It Out”, a track that is sure to please those of us nostalgic for the carefree pop-punk days of the 00s. Written just before the third lockdown, this track is a product of resilience and creative determination, pieced together from disparate ideas that were recorded in isolation.
A quintessential break-up song, “Figure It Out” channels all the pain and emotional mess of a separation into a cathartic musical outpouring. Explosive in both sound and sentiment, it is driven by a chorus of energetic guitars and strong, echoing drums, all tied together by Robson Knott’s powerful pop-punk vocals. The heartfelt lyrics explore the twists-and-turns of post-break-up readjustments, beginning with a reflective confession – “what I want, well I can’t say” – and ending with a more determined intention to “figure it out”.
A track that will resonate with all those who have felt lost and lonely, “Figure It Out” is an anthem of resilience and self-exploration.
