A brooding, dark, anthemic slice of contemporary Brit prog-rock- Pochenski’s latest single ‘No Answers’ takes all the heaviness of punk and alt-rock and pushes the listener further towards contemplative introspection.
The trio formed in late 2019, bringing years of musical experience to the table in a plight to create music they really wanted to listen to. Pochenski served as an outlet for the band members to bring more ambient and intricate elements to a foundation of punk and emo. ‘No Answers’ is a prime example of this ethos; it builds a story of deep introspection and reflection, underpinned by heavy percussion, leaden guitar and frustrated, impassioned vocals, but with an almost cinematic ambience cast over the track like a veil. The expression of frustration that alt-rock can so often provide, is given a whole new depth and complexity by Pochenski and ‘No Answers’ is a prime example of such talent and musical experimentation.
