SALVADOR’S SELF-TITLED SINGLE IS A DARK KISS OF INDIE SHAKING THEIR SLEEPY HOMETOWN AWAKE.
“Salvador’s self-titled new single is a dark kiss of indie with the unadulterated power to shake their sleepy hometown in Suffolk awake.”
Salvador’s self-titled new single is a dark kiss of indie with the unadulterated power to shake their sleepy hometown in Suffolk awake.
Foretold as the band’s come back single following their also self-titled 2019 debut EP, this track is a distillation of the band's soul; raw, rich and completely DIY. True devotees to the indie saints, the track is wrapped in a spiders web of influences. Weaving between a soundscape reminiscent of The XX to that of Temper Trap, they take from their ancestors that which makes them stronger and morph it into something uniquely Salvador. Lit with the lead singers haunting vocals, he guides the way through a newly imagined maze of composition. Walled with howling guitars, compressed drums and deep bass, it’s a race to the falsetto finish. A distinctive move away from their indie boyband root, the single ‘Salvador’ shows that Salvador are carving out their own pedestal in the indie Mount Olympus.
