Shakota releases Summer hit ‘Toulouse Blues’

Firmly rooted in his trademark bedroom-pop sound, London-based Shakota explores the nostalgia of Summer with laid-back hit ‘Toulouse Blues’. It’s a harmonious manifesto for sun-baked days (not least after the year we’ve had): a yearning for late evenings in the pub garden, spontaneous adventures through the countryside, and wonky tan-lines from your sunglasses. Pairing the traditional waves of electric guitar with a more contemporary stop-start rhythm, Shakota reminisces over what once was, and looks ahead to what could be. It’s a song for the people, and documents the everyday thoughts we all have, but don’t necessarily give heed to.

Captivating, soulful and casual, ‘Toulouse Blues’ is anything but blue.
