Indie-Pop rising artist smithy transports us through a moment of nostalgia with the new single “Turn Back The Time”.
Irish musician smythy set off to Galway in the hopes of developing his musical career. After releasing his first single, ‘When it Happens’ in 2020, the city that sits where the River Corrib meets the Atlantic Ocean seemed the right place to reestablish his musical horizons and develop a series of indie-pop tunes. ‘Turn Back the Time’ is the first single of this series to come to light.
As only his second single thus far, smythy lyrically dives into wistful thoughts of a loving memory between a former couple who longs to turn back the time. With a spellbinding sweeping line of synth that hooks us from the beginning, to a full-body of harmonies throughout the chorus sublimely combined with enchanting and peaceful vocals, this single contains the right ingredients to be on every indie-pop fans’ playlists.
