The Danish indie rockers Sovereign are back with ‘The Chain’, the perfect soundtrack for shaking that heart-shaped chip on your shoulder.

With slight colourations of 90s rock which tugs somewhere between classic Blondie and modern-day Blossoms, it fizzes with bubbles of pure indie-pop goodness. It’s a musical journey paved by heady synths, bordered with winding strings and shaded with often dark echoes of bass. A song of changing tempos, the rune reaches its peak in the speeding chorus- encapsulating a nighttime highway in its buzz of the dynamic vocals and call for freedom. The antithesis to Sovereign’s debut single 'Smitten By Love', this new call for independence will have you brushing off the lovestruck monster on your back along to the beat.
