“ ‘Breathe/City’ is highly deserving of a place on Indie playlists far and wide this February and will have listeners buzzing for the return of live music.”

Alt-Rock trio Sports Almanac are back with a bang with their third single ‘Breathe/City’.

Marking a real shift in their sound and production, the track sees the boys leaning into the inspiration they take from the Midwest emo scene, particularly in its grungy, gripping and almost cinematic choruses. True to form, Sports Almanac have blended these gloomier roots with modern pop sounds, to create a much brighter finished product, signalling hope and promise amidst the dreariness. Musing over the turbulent year that was 2020, lyrically the track offers a nostalgic view on a relationship that has run its course, whilst energetic drums, dynamic guitars and emotive vocals carry these sentiments with such power and a hearty dose of ‘cool’.

‘Breathe/City’ is highly deserving of a place on Indie playlists far and wide this February and will have listeners buzzing for the return of live music.
