“Considering it’s only their third offering to the world, there’s something markedly mature about the band’s sound and it seems Spyres have already found their feet.  ”

Erupting onto Glasgow’s burgeoning underground scene just a short year ago, Spyres combine powerful female-fronted energy with vulnerable, organic lyricism and soaring rock-infused riffs.

Their latest release “I Don’t Care” is intoxicating, as lofty hooks and exultant guitar rhythms define Spyres’ forceful sound. Described as a “pure coming of age song” by vocalist and guitarist Keira McGuire, the track combines infectious melodies and gusty post-punk inspired riffs in equal measure. Carried by a certain urgent intensity, “I Don’t Care” is defiantly euphoric— hedonistic guitar licks meddle deftly with sensuous, anthemic vocals.

Considering it’s only their third offering to the world, there’s something markedly mature about the band’s sound and it seems Spyres have already found their feet.
