An instant hit, ‘Petals’ marks a notable second single from pop artist Superlate
Having been met with critical acclaim from the likes of Radio 1, it seems Superlate’s latest single is off to a strong start. The rhythmic lovechild of Mavi (otherwise known as Superlate) and friend Lou Cas on vocals, ‘Petals’ is rhythmically-infused with dreamy pop synths and breezy percussion that permeate well beyond the speakers. Fast-paced and upbeat, there’s a distinct sense of purpose echoed by clockwork drum beats. “It truly was a day of goofing about and making noise for fun”, says Superlate of the writing process, “We were at a great time in our lives”.
