“With their dopy charm and lustrous sound, SWIVVEL are a welcome injection of youthful vigour that is sure to put a smile of your face. ”

SWIVVEL want you to know that they are NOT babies; yes, they might be young, light-hearted and playfully silly, but their newest track “Parlor Tricks” is a testament to their professionalism. Despite being only 6 months old (remember, NOT babies) the band seem at ease with each other, generating a hazy, sun-kissed sound that harks back to their native Miami.

Ambient, atmospheric and thoroughly enjoyable, “Parlor Tricks” floats on a bed of Mac DeMarco-like melodic guitars and energetic drums. With its soft but resonant vocals and gently shimmering synths, this track is the perfect soundtrack to a sunny, carefree day at the beach or to a twilight-filled afternoon in your back-garden. Underneath all of this loveliness lies a more complex lyrical core that strives to reach for an understating and fights against its inner daemons. Nevertheless, like a rebellious teenager, it doesn’t succumb to gloom, but continues to radiate youth and promise on its surroundings like a warm ray of sunlight.

With their dopy charm and lustrous sound, SWIVVEL are a welcome injection of youthful vigour that is sure to put a smile of your face.
