Matthew Estevez is the maverick behind F-Use, a Nashville-based alternative rock act that found unique fame through Reddit’s r/IndieMusicFeedback. Not wanting to rest on his laurels after his debut track – ‘For The Love Of God’ – gained wide acclaim through the subreddit’s version of the Grammy’s, F-Use releases his new single ‘Chaser’, a worthy follow-up.
Powered by Estevez’s Noise-like vocals, rebellious guitar solos and enough drums to wake a dead man, ‘Chaser’ is a short but impactful track that will have you playing it on repeat. Unapologetically loud and tightly arranged, the track climbs up to a false climax – before pausing and hitting us with a wall of sound that feels surprisingly refreshing, like a gale-force wind. Just as you exclaim “Wow”, the track ends, leaving you gasping for more of this intoxicating, controlled chaos.
