Embrace the night with The Kecks’ rousing new single “Tonight Might Be Different”.
Referred to as “The Strokes of Hamburg” by Consequence of Sound, The Kecks are intent on showcasing their danceable, rock-fuelled sound that goes far beyond their German hometown. Their newest track, “Tonight Might Be Different” is the band’s first physical release, pressed onto vinyl by UK based Butterfly Effect Records and accompanied by a trippy, DIY music video courtesy of cinematographer and director Andy Ray Lemon – the man behind the cult underground grunge documentary MondoFuzz.
A strong, seductive bassline kicks off this dusky track, with a moody guitar melody and distantly droning synths completing the nocturnal atmosphere. Hints of disco are mixed with psychedelia and seasoned with a generous pinch of indie-rock rowdiness, resulting in an intoxicating concoction that will make you groove along to the infectious beat. Uschmann’s voice tessellates between smooth sensuality and a certain roughness, inviting us to explore the night ahead.
Immersive, trippy and pulsating with undeniable energy, “Tonight Might Be Different” is a titillating track of promise and seduction.
