The Ruby Tuesdays seek a ‘Man of the People’ in their latest rousing track.

“With their stadium-rock like levels of explosive power and a rebellious desire to be “off running wild”, The Ruby Tuesdays are solidly the band of the people.”

The Ruby Tuesdays seek a ‘Man of the People’ in their latest rousing track.

The Ruby Tuesdays are an Alt-Rock outfit from Blackburn defying mainstream music with their unapologetically loud sound. Their latest track, ‘Man of the People’ is a tribute to their native North of England and a commentary on the harshness of the Northern experience after the Thatcherite years. The track celebrates the often ignored cultural importance of the region and the tenacity of the local people, giving them a platform to call “for a better life”.

Gritty distortion opens the door to a tsunami of guitars that sweeps you off your feet with its raw power. This is guitar music at its classical best, producing the kind of sound that will make you instinctively move your feet, jumping up and down like a carefree teenager in the first throes of freedom – tinnie in hand and jubilation in mind. “We wanna rebel but we still need a cause”, the lyrics plead to the pounding of the rolling drums, defiant and expectant of the great change that is to be ushered in by the new generation.

With their stadium-rock like levels of explosive power and a rebellious desire to be “off running wild”, The Ruby Tuesdays are solidly the band of the people.
