‘Birmingham’s youthful punk rockers The Silver Lines are back with their first single of the year ‘Breathe’.
Fuelled by a bass hyperventilating amongst a deep undergrove of furious guitar and lyrics desperately resisting temptation, the track in its entirety is agonisingly short. Contrasting a fierce tempo with the blissfully slow howl of “breathe”, the band makes sure that the call to action cannot be rushed over and forgotten. Reaching its peak in a black hole of raw guitar riffs and bashful drums the song almost seems to burn itself out, searing through its musical ethanol and leaving only an echoing silence in its wake. As the steam fades it's not hard to see that there are big things in store for The Silver Lines, so you’ll just have to keep breathing so you don't miss what happens.
