“‘Devil On My Shoulder’ is one of those songs that is as equally perfect for a mosh-pit as it is for blasting alone in your room; in any way, catharsis is guaranteed. ”

Tom Auton battles inner demons in his visceral rock single ‘Devil On My Shoulder’.

Cardiff’s Tom Auton is back with yet another punchy rock track, ‘Devil On My Shoulder’. Following a supporting spot for the Welsh legends Feeder and in preparation for his own UK headline tour, Tom has returned to his studio – dubbed ‘The Syncopation Station’ – to explore the darkest corners of his mind. By recording, mixing and producing everything himself, Tom ensures that his work stays true to his own unique sound – one which earned him support from Sirius XM, Amazing Radio, BBC Radio Wales and Radio 1’s Jack Saunders.

Evoking the paranoia of sleepless nights and the haziness of drunken worries, ‘Devil On My Shoulder’ is a resonant exploration of one’s inner-conflict. Incorporating Tom’s signature rock sound and pop-y catchiness, the track is rife with grungy textures and infectious guitar riffs that lead up to an anthemic chorus. With its whirlwind rhythm and brutally honest lyrics, it is akin to a battle cry, defiant in its intention to become a better version of one’s self.

‘Devil On My Shoulder’ is one of those songs that is as equally perfect for a mosh-pit as it is for blasting alone in your room; in any way, catharsis is guaranteed.
