An anthem of assurance and love, ‘Dichotomy’ is a celebration of one’s imperfections and the joy of self-discovery.

Explore the ‘Dichotomy’ of being, with Wolfjay’s anthemic track.

Melbourne-based queer indie-pop artist Wolfjay self-produces their own music, speaking with a loud and energetic voice about the power of self-expression and the diversity of the queer experience. Having played multiple sold-out shows in their native Australian, Wolfjay has also toured both US coasts and performed at the New Colossus Festival 2020 in New York City. Their newest track, ‘Dichotomy’, looks forward to an upcoming EP of the same name, which will explore their journey of self-discovery.

In Wolfjay’s own words, ‘Dichotomy’ is “big and bold and brash and loud”. Pounding drums and a sparkling guitar melody tempt us to shake our blues away, invigorated by the bouncing rhythm and reassuring message. There are hints of pop-punk in the track’s abundant energy and unrestrained expression, as well as a popy catchiness in the quirky lyrics. Woldjay’s husky vocals possess an inviting softness that allows us to explore their world, basking alongside them in the freeing feeling of self-acceptance.

An anthem of assurance and love, ‘Dichotomy’ is a celebration of one’s imperfections and the joy of self-discovery.
