Beach Vacation’s hazy new single ‘It Soothes Me’ is dream pop at its best.

Beach Vacation may have started as a high school band, but they quickly gained international recognition, releasing an EP, and then an album, I Fell Apart, in 2020, followed by several singles. ‘It Soothes Me’ is the latest single from the band, a laid back indie pop track with a smooth groove.

Writer, singer, and producer Tabor Rupp’s vocals feature on the track, soft and blurred, as a dreamlike backdrop for bright guitar riffs. Inspired by acts such as Dayglow, Far Caspian and Eyedress, It Soothes Me evolves the quintessential bedroom pop sound into a sweet and (humorously) soothing track that is easy to listen to on repeat.
