FLØRE calls herself a “moon-lover”, an alien writing songs “to give this weird existence a meaning.” Her music covers themes of growing up, loneliness, mental illness, and broken love. She is an advocate for the loners, the outsiders, the weird kids who can’t stop dreaming.

Since the release of her debut album Flowered Guts in 2018, her career has taken off. She’s used the time since then to connect with her TikTok followers, perform her first live shows, and further develop her artistic identity.

Don’t U Dare is a biting breakup song, deceptively catchy and laced with sarcasm. FLØRE’s vocals bring a pop punk edge to the track, infusing it with energy. The song is addressed to an ex, and the lyrics don’t hesitate to call out their hypocrisy. “It was you who wanted to leave me/ Then you begged me 'please don't block my calls'” is one of the song’s first lyrics The rest of the track is just as brutal: “Don’t you dare to think I wrote this ‘bout you,” she sings in the hook. FLØRE doesn’t want to grant this person the satisfaction of knowing they hurt her, but that doesn’t stop her from putting them on blast.

“Love was supposed to be you/Now I am just hurting/Everything is burning,” FLØRE sings in the chorus. The song is a satisfyingly thorough takedown of the person who has wronged her, both cold-blooded and catchy.
