“Ava in the Dark have their sights set on getting out of the dark and onto the big, bright stage.”
Ava in the Dark have been working their way through the Leeds indie scene for quite a while now. Having cut their teeth in almost every venue that the Northern paradise to offer, the band’s leading duo Kiera Bickerstaff and Tommie James have kicked it up a notch with their new single ‘Delete Us Forever’.
Treading somewhere between the likes of Wolf Alice and Pale Waves, this indie track of existentialism pairs classic dripping synths with a driving bass and angelic, breathy vocals. Exploding into a chorus of desperation, the song's title becomes an exhilarating war cry you cannot help but echo.
From meeting at Leeds Beckett to getting in touch with the engineer Eduardo De La Paz (the man responsible for The Big Moon’s explosive debut album among many), Ava in the Dark have their sights set on getting out of the dark and onto the big, bright stage.
