“It may seem complicated, but the music is so, so good. The whole concept of ‘Reverie’ is based around space, existence, and coming of age. ”

Dispirited Spirits is not true to the name, but this is no bad thing by any means. After grabbing the attention of listeners around the world with a memorable debut single, the Portuguese project returns with their euphoric Tame Impala-esque single ‘Reverie’. Dispirited Spirits is a project founded by Rodrigo Dias, a 17-year old musician whose DIY works consist of extremely dynamic and fluid compositions that lie within the genres of Indie Rock, Neo-psychedelia, and Indietronica.

‘Reverie’ is a song that immediately strikes the listener with an explosion of passionate synthesizers and sparkling guitar melodies, while the blissful vocals sing about evasion and daydreaming. It is the perfect escape from self-consciousness and the burdensome abstraction of existence. It may seem complicated, but the music is so, so good. The whole concept of ‘Reverie’ is based around space, existence, and coming of age. This latest piece of work is taken from the upcoming debut album ‘Fragments of a Dying Star’ out on April 2nd.
