Dust In The Sunlight wonder what could have been in their ethereal track ‘Blueprints’.

On the very first day that singer-songwriters Annie Rew Shaw and Billy Wright first met, they ended up completing two whole songs. This is how – through chance and fortune - Dust In The Sunlight came into being. Their latest track, ‘Blueprints’ captures that very same spirit, exploring themes of chance, duality and parallel lives. As the first single from their upcoming second EP, it marks a move toward a more cinematic, rich sound and celebrates the duo’s evolving craftsmanship.

‘Blueprints’ is an ephemeral track; one which simultaneously consumes your whole body and then leaves you filled with longing. Like footprints in the sand, the echoing, plucked guitar riffs dissolve in the soft beats of the bass and the carefully constructed vocal harmonies, growing progressively more resonant as the dusk of the atmosphere sets in. Propelled by the moody drama of the chorus, the track becomes even lusher, culminating in an ocean of Beach House-like distorted guitars.

An ode to impermanence and chance, ‘Blueprints’ is the sound of a beautiful, ghostly kiss.
