Lavola announce their return with an angsty track ‘Your Alarm Bell’.
After a seven-year hiatus, Lavola are back with their signature immersive sound and penetrating lyrics. Beginning as a bedroom music project in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Lavola consists of founder Julian Cires, Jeff Rose and Paul DeFilippis and has involved a number of supporting musicians over the years. Produced by Paige Coley and Julian Cires, Lavola’s latest track, ‘Your Alarm Bell’, is the product of a four-year gestation period, beginning its journey in Orlando, Florida and concluding it in LA.
It’s hard to describe ‘Your Alarm Bell’, mainly because it is so emotionally resonant with anyone who has felt the pain of loss. Carried by a steady drum beat and strumming guitar riffs, the track builds to a rousing chorus that has the power to sweep you of your feet. Julian Cires’ eerily soft vocals are at the forefront, potent in their expression of wrenching, heart-felt pain and gradually dissolving into the angsty cacophony of guitar-led conclusion.
