Jump and Turner release triumphant bop Steppin, the soundtrack of better times ahead

Cardiff duo Jump and Turner have a simple approach when it comes to making music: make the art you wish existed. It seems that simple mantra was all it took to break free from the restrictive expectations of creative rules and the ever-changing hierarchies of popularity. Their latest offering comes in the form of Steppin, a “little sexy chilled bop to help get you in the mood as the warm nights start to draw in”. Synth-laden and unassuming, Steppin is at once modest yet brilliant. Taking root in the swells of soft jazz, the track soundscapes long drives at sunset to faraway places, pairing silky vocals with electric rhythms to create a rich sonic tapestry.

This is alternative pop at its best.
