Lapels debut their fresh take on BritPop with ‘All Things Down to You’.
Following the success of their debut track ‘Warning Lights’, Lapels are back with yet another bold, guitar-driven offering. Hailed as one new BritPop’s foremost faces, these “four ordinary boys from the East Midlands” are amassing fans in search of fresh guitar music with a classic edge. Despite the subdued nature of their debut – void of huge promotions or campaigns – Lapels have found fame through the sheer staying power of their music, resonating with their audience through their non-nonsense approach and honest lyrics.
Serving up some classic BritPop cool, ‘All Things Down to You’ is rife with Oasis-like riffs and charismatic vocals. Yet this track isn’t just a one-tick-pony, for the pronounced beat of the drum ushers in an energetic bridge of Led Zeppelin reminiscent guitars, injecting the track with a rocky grittiness.
