Lost Woods look to new beginnings with their revitalising track ‘Better To Leave’.

Adelaide-based Lost Woods are back with their second release of 2021. Following the rousing sound of ‘Sleep’, the Australian indie-rockers take a more introspective turn with their latest track ‘Better To Leave’, which details songwriter Peter White’s own past relationship. Dreamy and resonant, their sound is the perfect balance between pop-y lightness and the grittiness of rock, speaking of personal experiences with engaging honesty and unaffected charm.

Led by a gentle guitar-driven melody and packing some big emotions, ‘Better To Leave’ details a final breakdown of an unhealthy relationship. Tentative, self-reflective verses are contrasted with punchy, soring choruses that speak of resilience and personal resolve in the face of heart-breaking situation. A relatable track that is both a piece of escapism and a poignant confession, it overpowers the darkness of the past with the positivity of artistic expression through music.

Shining bright with positivity and self-affirmation, ‘Better To Leave’ is the sound of the light at the end of the tunnel.
