Dusky and luxurious, LOWEN’s “Stay The Night” is a cry from the heart.
London based drummer/songwriter LOWEN knows a thing or two about a good beat. Playfully mimicking computer programmed beats, he explores a range of drum-based genres such as R&B and Neo-Soul using a live drum kit. As an ex-session musician, LOWEN has been exposed to a wide range of talent and style, and continues to carry that through in his own music through collaborations with other artists. His newest track, “Stay The Night”, features the sumptuous vocals of Liam Chau – completing the recipe for this mellow and ambient track.
“Stay The Night” is the embodiment of alluring sensuality at the end of the night – the call to surrender your inhibitions and indulge in reckless behaviour. The track rests of a resonant and punchy beat that is intertwined with a wavy bass, creating a sound that – like silk – is both effervescent and tactile. Liam Chau’s R&B vocals are the perfect accompaniment to this sensual track. Insistent and vulnerable in equal measure, they resonate with LOWEN’s steady beat and pulsate with increasing urgency.
