Like a rising phoenix, Parlour Suns are back with their luminous track ‘Embers’.

Formerly known as With Notion, Parlour Suns are back from the ashes with a new sound and a new debut single, ‘Embers’. After evaluating the direction of their sound and working on some new material, the band has embraced a Pop-Rock attitude, full of powerful drums and vigorous guitar riffs. Driven by strong vocals and ardent energy, their musical storytelling is relatable and thoroughly resonant, speaking to thoughts and emotions we all struggle to express.

Evoking the moment of sitting by the fire as a 17 year old and ruminating on the joys and tribulations of first love, ‘Embers’ is an atmospheric track that fluctuates between moments of youthful exuberance and profound vulnerability. Nostalgic and deeply personal, the lyrics reflect the protagonist’s inner struggle when faced with a relationship that is falling apart, and his desire to hold on to its last glow. The energy and noise of the guitars is offset by a quieter bridge that provides a moment of reflection before plunging us back into a defiant whirlpool of sound.

Despite the theme of youthful uncertainty, ‘Embers’ is nevertheless a reassuring track – promising that there are brighter days ahead and that new beginnings will emerge from the embers of the past.
