The Pylons electrify with their sweeping, psychedelia-rich track, “The Chase”.

The self-professes “millennial maximalists” The Pylons don’t shy away from rich, expansive sounds and urban anxieties of the cyber generation. The indie-rock quintet hails from Lincoln but is ready to take over the world with its lush, textured melodies, hypnotising vocals and whimsical sense of humour. Their latest track, “The Chase”, is a sneak-peak of their debut EP ‘Thanks for Coming’, which is to be released this autumn. Introspective, indulgent and simply enthralling, it is like a gust of fresh air after a period of drought.

“The Chase” begins with no preamble, crashing down onto the listener with the full force of its dynamic sound. As the punchy beat propels us forward, we find ourselves riding on a wave of strumming guitars dripping with attitude, all the while gradually climbing to an explosive chorus. An underlying psychedelic sound drones in the distance like a busy bee, coming closer during the chorus and retreating under the force of the guitars in the verse, before finally coming to full blossom with the sweeping expansiveness of the bridge.

Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more The Pylons – they are not someone you can turn your back on.
